Card not adding to Wallet
Troubleshoot a card that won't add to Wallet: in-app browsers, a missing Google Wallet app, desktop links, and a broken token link.
Most 'Add to Wallet' failures come down to the browser, the device, or a broken enrollment link — work through these in order.
Check the browser on iPhone
- Apple Wallet's Add button needs Safari. If the customer opened the enrollment link inside Instagram, WhatsApp, or another app's built-in browser, Add to Wallet can silently fail.
- Have the customer tap the browser menu inside that app and choose 'Open in Safari', then try Add to Wallet again.
Check Google Wallet is installed
On Android, Add to Google Wallet needs the Google Wallet app installed on the phone. If it isn't installed, the button won't complete — the customer needs to install Google Wallet first, then reopen the enrollment link.
On a desktop or laptop
Desktop browsers show both the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet buttons, since there's no way to detect which wallet the customer's phone uses from a computer. Have the customer open the enrollment link on their own phone instead, or scan the QR code with their phone's camera.
