Scanning a customer's card
Use the Scan tab's camera to read a customer's QR code, or look them up by phone number if the camera isn't an option.
The Scan tab is where every visit gets recorded — by camera or by phone-number lookup.
Scan with the camera
- Open the Scan tab
Staff whose role is set to land there open straight into it.
- Allow camera access
Your browser will ask for permission the first time.
- Point the camera at the QR code
This works whether the customer's card is in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or their web card.
- Confirm the customer
Waya identifies them and opens their card for the next action.
Look up by phone number
If the camera isn't available, or the code won't scan, switch to phone-number lookup instead. Type the customer's number and select their profile from the results.
