Publish your first card
Finish the Card step of setup and publish your first stamp card so customers can start adding it to their wallet.
The Card step of the Setup Flow is where you configure your first stamp card, and Launch is where Waya publishes it — this is what turns a signup into a working loyalty program.
Set up the card
- Pick a card color
Choose the color for your card — the background customers see in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. You can match it to your logo or brand colors, or pick something that stands out on a lock screen.
- Set stamps required
Choose how many stamps a customer needs to earn before they get the reward. A shorter card rewards people sooner and can feel more achievable; a longer card stretches the cost of the reward across more visits.
- Write the reward
Describe what the customer gets once the card is full, for example a free coffee or a discount. Keep it short enough to read at a glance on a wallet card.
- Confirm and launch
Move to the Launch step. Waya publishes the card and shows a short celebration screen to confirm it is live and ready for enrollments.
What 'published' means
A published card can be enrolled by customers immediately, through its QR code or link — there is no separate approval step or waiting period. See QR code and enrollment link for how customers add it, and posters and printing for putting that link on your counter.
Changing it later
You are not locked in. You can go back into the card designer any time to adjust colors, the stamp count, or the reward text, then republish so the change reaches customers who already hold the card — see publish and republish. Nothing about the Setup Flow's version of your card is final.
If you're not on a paid plan yet
The card you publish during setup is always a stamp card, since that is what the Free plan supports. If your business fits points or a balance better — variable pricing rather than a fixed price per visit — you can switch once you upgrade. See card types for the comparison.
Getting customers onto the card
Publishing is only half the job — a published card with no one enrolled doesn't do anything yet. Every card gets its own QR code and link the moment it's published, and that link is what customers use to add the card to their wallet. Print it as a poster or a plain QR code for the counter — see posters and printing — or share the link directly.
Rewarding the first stamp
Once a customer has enrolled, staff add stamps from the Scan tab by scanning the wallet card or looking the customer up by phone number. It's worth walking your team through this once the first card is live, since scanning consistently — every visit, not just when it's convenient — is what makes the reward mean anything by the time a customer's card fills up.
A published card also starts counting toward your plan's card cap right away, even before anyone has enrolled. On Free, that's one card — so if you're testing ideas, it's worth settling on the version you actually want to run before publishing, since you would need to archive it and republish a replacement to swap it out.
