Understanding Your Message Balance
Learn how Waya's shared monthly message balance works, what counts against it, and how Free, Growth, and Premium limits compare.
Every broadcast and every automatic trigger you send from Waya draws from one shared monthly message balance.
How the balance works
Waya doesn't split your quota into separate pools for broadcasts and triggers — a broadcast, a welcome message, and a win-back send all draw from the same monthly balance. Geofence lock-screen messages are the one exception — see below.
Balance by plan
| Plan | Messages per month |
|---|---|
| Free | 100 |
| Growth | 5,000 |
| Premium | Unlimited |
When a message counts against your balance
Geofence messages are the exception: they cost zero balance no matter how many times they fire. See Geofence messages and radius.
Checking your balance
Open the Notifications tab — the quota strip at the top shows how much of your monthly balance is left.
Running low
If you're close to your limit, you can buy a top-up pack or move to a higher plan — see Upgrade to Growth or Premium.
Why the balance is shared
A shared balance keeps things simple: you don't have to guess whether a given send comes out of a "broadcast budget" or a "trigger budget." Everything counts once, against one number, and the quota strip always reflects your true remaining total for the month.
Next steps
- Send your first broadcast
- Buy a top-up pack if you're running low
- Check every trigger has a saved message so nothing sends silently
Frequently asked questions
What counts as one message?
Each broadcast send and each automatic trigger send (welcome, stamp added, reward redeemed, win-back) counts as one message against your monthly balance.
Does a geofence lock-screen message use my balance?
No. Geofence messages, sent when a customer walks near a branch, cost zero balance.
Does my balance reset every month?
Yes — it's a monthly balance tied to your plan; a top-up pack adds extra messages on top for that period.
