Archive a card
Archiving retires a card and frees up a slot in your plan's card limit — customers who already hold it keep their pass.
Archiving a card retires it from your active list without taking it away from customers who already have it.
Archive a card
- Open the Designer
Go to the Designer tab and select the card you want to retire.
- Archive it
Archive the card. It stops counting against your plan's card limit and no longer appears as an active card in the dashboard.
What happens to existing holders
Customers who already added the card to their wallet keep it — archiving does not remove it from their phone. It only stops the card from being offered for new enrollments and frees up a slot under your plan's card cap.
When to archive
Archive a seasonal card once its run is over, or archive an old design after you've published its replacement, rather than editing the original in place. That way holders of the retired card keep exactly what they signed up for, and you free the slot for the new one.
