Data and privacy
What customer data Waya stores, who owns it, how to export or delete it, and why this page isn't legal advice.
This page explains what customer data Waya stores and how you can export or delete it — it's general information, not legal advice, so treat it as a starting point rather than a compliance guarantee.
What Waya stores about your customers
- Name
- Phone number
- Visit history — stamps, points, and redemptions recorded on their card
Who owns the data
Customer data belongs to you, the merchant — not to Waya. It's collected to run your loyalty program and is shown back to you in your Customers tab and, on paid plans, your Insights tab.
Exporting your data
On paid plans, the Insights tab has an 'Export to Excel' button that downloads your customer list as a CSV file. See Export your customer list.
Deleting data
- Delete a single customer from the Insights tab on paid plans — see Delete a customer.
- Delete your entire shop, customers, and cards through the iOS app or WhatsApp support — see Delete your account.
