Customer lifecycle bands
New, Active, Slipping, At risk, and Lapsed — how Waya groups your customers by visit behavior, and what each band means.
Waya sorts every customer into one of five lifecycle bands based on how often, and how recently, they've visited.
The five bands
| Band | What it means |
|---|---|
| New | 2 or fewer visits since enrolling |
| Active | Last visit within the past 14 days |
| Slipping | Last visit 15 to 30 days ago |
| At risk | Last visit 31 to 60 days ago |
| Lapsed | More than 60 days since the last visit |
New is based on how many times a customer has visited in total. The other four bands — Active, Slipping, At risk, and Lapsed — are based on days since that customer's last visit.
Where you see them
The Customers tab shows a live health donut and a count for each band, on every plan. On Growth and Premium, you can also target a band directly with a message from audience targeting.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change what counts as Active or Lapsed for my business?
Yes. The day thresholds for every band except New can be tuned to your visit cycle. Contact Waya support on WhatsApp if you'd like help adjusting them.
Does a customer move bands automatically?
Yes — bands are based on live visit data, so a customer moves from Slipping back to Active the moment they visit and get scanned again.
