Geofence Messages and Radius Settings

Geofence messages appear on a customer's lock screen automatically when they walk near one of your branches — no send required.

Requirements

• Works on Apple Wallet only.
• Available on Growth and Premium plans.
• Your branch needs coordinates set before a geofence can fire.

Setting it up

1. Add branch coordinates

   Set your branch's location in Settings → Branches. This is what feeds the geofence — the address text printed on the card does not.

2. Open the Location card

   In the Notifications tab, open the Location card.

3. Set your radius

   Choose a radius from 50 to 500 meters, in 50 m steps. The default is 150 m.

4. Write your message

   Add the message customers will see on their lock screen when they arrive.

Locations and cost

• Up to 10 branch locations per card.
• Costs zero message balance, no matter how often it fires.
• There's no delivery report for geofence sends — you won't see delivered/failed stats for these the way you do for broadcasts and triggers.

Choosing a radius

A smaller radius, closer to 50 m, keeps the message tied to customers who are essentially outside your door — useful in a dense shopping strip where a wider radius would catch people at a neighboring shop. A larger radius, closer to 500 m, reaches customers earlier, while they still have time to decide to stop in. The 150 m default is a reasonable middle ground for most single-location shops.
