Working with an existing customer list
Waya has no Excel or CSV import feature. Here's the honest, practical way to bring an existing customer list onto your loyalty card.
If you're moving from a spreadsheet, a notebook, or another system, here's how to bring those customers onto your Waya card — and what Waya does not do.
Why joins work this way
Each customer fills a short form and taps Add to Wallet themselves. That keeps every record consent-based and accurate — nobody ends up on your card without agreeing to join, which matters for data privacy.
Bring your existing list onto cards
- Get your enrollment QR code and link
Every card has its own QR code and link that never expires.
- Print it or have it ready
Use a printable poster at your counter, or keep the link handy on a till screen or receipt.
- Ask each existing customer to scan it
It takes them under a minute — scan, fill the short form, and tap Add to Wallet.
- Repeat over time
There's no batch step. Most merchants enroll their existing base gradually, a few customers per visit, until the whole list has joined.
Next steps
- Print QR posters for your counter
- Get your enrollment link
- Export your Waya customer list once it grows
Frequently asked questions
Can I upload a CSV or Excel file of my old customers?
No. There is no import feature in Waya. Every customer has to join by scanning your enrollment QR code or link themselves.
What if I have hundreds of existing contacts?
There's no shortcut for a large list — print a QR poster at your counter and ask each customer to scan it on their next visit. Most lists convert over a few weeks of normal traffic.
