QR code and enrollment link

Every card gets a QR code and link customers use to enroll — how it works, what it carries, and where to find it.

Every published card has its own QR code and link — scanning or opening it takes a customer straight to the enrollment form for that card.

How the link works

The link points to your card, with a security token attached. Waya mints this token on the server and it does not expire, so a poster or a saved link keeps working for as long as the card stays published — you never need to reprint a QR code because a link went stale.

The link can also carry a branch parameter, so a QR code printed at a specific branch attributes enrollments to that branch — useful once you're running more than one location and want to see where signups are actually coming from. It can also carry a source tag, which is useful if you want to tell enrollments from a poster apart from enrollments shared through a social post or a WhatsApp message, since both can point at the same underlying card.

What the customer sees

Enrollment by device
DeviceWhat happens
iPhone (Safari)Fills out the form, then adds the card to Apple Wallet as a pass
AndroidFills out the form, then saves the card to Google Wallet
Desktop browserFills out the form, then sees both the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet buttons

Where to find your link

Your card's QR code and link are available from the dashboard wherever you manage that card, and from posters and printing if you want a printable version.

If your card supports more than one branch, printing a QR code with that branch's parameter baked in lets you tell branches apart later without asking every new customer where they enrolled.

One link per card

Each card you publish has its own link — if you run a stamp card and, once you upgrade, a points card too, they enroll customers separately. Make sure the QR code you print or share matches the card you actually want customers to join; there's no single shared link that lets a customer choose between multiple cards.

Sharing the link beyond a QR code

The link isn't limited to a printed QR code — you can send it directly over WhatsApp, add it to a social media bio, or include it in an email, and it behaves the same way regardless of how a customer reaches it. Since the token doesn't expire, a link shared once keeps working the same way a printed poster does, as long as the card itself stays published.
