Automatic Triggers Overview
Turn on hands-free wallet notifications for stamp added, reward redeemed, first sign-up, and 14-day win-back moments.
Automatic triggers send a wallet notification the moment a customer reaches a specific moment in their journey — no manual sending required.
The four triggers
| Trigger | Fires when |
|---|---|
| Stamp added | A stamp or point is added to a customer's card |
| Reward redeemed | A customer redeems a reward |
| First sign-up (welcome) | A customer enrolls their card for the first time |
| Win-back (14 days) | A customer has gone 14 days without activity |
Turning a trigger on
- Open the Instant card
In the Notifications tab, open the Instant card — this is where all four triggers live.
- Flip the toggle
Switch the trigger you want to use on.
- Write the message
Every trigger needs its own saved message text before it will actually notify anyone.
Each trigger costs your balance
Every trigger send counts against your monthly message balance the same as a broadcast does — turning on all four triggers means each one draws from the same shared pool, so a busy shop on Free can burn through its 100 messages faster than expected.
Next steps
- Set up your welcome message
- Set up the 14-day win-back trigger
- Check every trigger for the dead-config trap

Frequently asked questions
Can I turn on only some of the four triggers?
Yes — each of the four triggers has its own on/off toggle, independent of the others.
Do triggers fire for staff-side actions too?
Stamp added and reward redeemed fire from the actions staff take in the Scan tab, since that's how stamps get added and rewards get redeemed.
