Waya vs Loyverse

Waya vs Loyverse: a free module, or a wallet-first platform

Loyverse's loyalty module is free but has no native wallet pass, geofence, or triggers without a paid add-on. Waya ships all three natively, free.

The short version

Loyverse bundles a points-based loyalty module into its own free point-of-sale system at 0 SAR, as of September 2026. That's genuinely free — but it comes with no native Apple or Google Wallet pass, no native geofence, and no native automated triggers.

All three of those require a separate paid third-party add-on called Passquare Wallet Passes, priced from €39/30 days, built by a different company entirely. Waya ships wallet passes, geofence, and triggers natively, with no add-on to buy.

If you already run Loyverse as your free POS and want the absolute lowest-cost loyalty add-on, its bundled module is free. If you want wallet passes and geofence without paying a second vendor, that's Waya.

If you keep Loyverse as your POS, see how Waya adds wallet cards on top of Loyverse receipts.

Notifications, side by side

Notifications are where a loyalty card either earns its keep or sits unused in a wallet. Here is exactly what Loyverse publishes about its own notification stack, compared field by field against what Waya publishes about ours, as of September 2026.

Where Loyverse is the better pick

We'd rather tell you honestly where the other product wins than pretend Waya is the right fit for every shop.

  • You already run Loyverse as your point-of-sale system and want the absolute lowest incremental cost for basic points
  • You're comfortable managing a second, separate vendor (Passquare) if you later want wallet passes or geofencing
  • You want loyalty attached directly to transaction data at checkout rather than a manual staff scan
  • You operate at very high transaction volumes across multiple stores under one free account

Where Waya wins

The core difference: what Loyverse calls 'loyalty' is a barcode-and-receipt points tracker inside its POS, not a wallet-pass product. To get an actual Apple Wallet or Google Wallet card with geofencing, a Loyverse merchant has to sign up for and pay a completely separate company, Passquare, starting at roughly €39 per 30 days.

Waya ships the wallet pass, the geofence, and the automated triggers as one native product, with a free tier that needs no second vendor and no additional subscription to unlock lock-screen messaging.

Waya's limits, plainly

State our limits plainly, once: Waya has no POS or till integration, so a staff member scans the customer's card on an ordinary phone; there's no SMS channel, only wallet lock-screen messages; the Android merchant app is still in closed testing, so Android staff use the web dashboard; and the Free plan stops adding new customers and messages at 100 of each, though everyone already enrolled keeps their card.

If you're weighing a POS-bundled loyalty tool against a standalone one, LoyaltyPass is a useful opposite-extreme comparison — a one-time custom build instead of a bundled module.

Switch to Waya in a week

None of this needs a long rollout or a signed contract to test. A single-branch shop can go from nothing to a working, free program in five to seven working days.

  1. Day 1: build the card

Pick stamp, points, balance, or discount, add your logo and colors, and choose the Free plan to launch at 0 SAR.

  2. Day 2: print the QR poster

Print the poster from the dashboard and put it where staff already hand the customer something — a receipt, keys, a bag.

  3. Day 3: set your branch and geofence

Add your branch address, and on Growth or above set the geofence radius separately from the address text.

  4. Day 4: turn on the triggers

Turn on welcome, stamp, reward, and the 14-day win-back message, writing each one before you go live.

  5. Days 5–7: watch enrollments

Track signups and returning customers on the dashboard, and decide whether to upgrade before you hit the 100-customer ceiling.

Frequently asked questions

Is Waya cheaper than Loyverse?

It depends what you need. Loyverse's basic points module is free, matching Waya's Free plan on price — but a comparable Apple/Google Wallet pass on Loyverse requires the separate paid Passquare add-on (from €39/30 days), which Waya includes natively at 0 SAR.

Do customers need an app?

No. A Waya card is an Apple Wallet or Google Wallet pass added in three taps — scan a QR code, type a first name and mobile number, tap once to add the pass. A device with neither wallet gets a web card at the same link instead.

What happens after 100 customers on Free?

New enrollments and new messages pause once a shop passes 100 customers or 100 messages in a month on the Free plan. Everyone already enrolled keeps their card and keeps collecting stamps or points — nothing already running breaks. Growth at 85 SAR/mo removes both ceilings.

Does Waya connect to my POS?

No. Waya has no point-of-sale or till integration — a staff member scans the customer's card on an ordinary phone, in the web dashboard or the Waya iOS app, and that scan is what counts as a visit.

Can I use Waya alongside Loyverse as my POS?

Yes. Waya has no POS integration by design, so it works beside any till, including Loyverse — a staff member scans the Waya card on an ordinary phone, separately from whatever Loyverse rings up at checkout.
