What changes for a Loyverse till once Waya is connected

Loyverse is a free point-of-sale app on its own, and a lot of Saudi shops run their entire counter through it — ringing up items, taking payment, closing the sale. Connect it to Waya and that same sale, once it's paid, quietly earns the customer a reward on their Apple or Google Wallet card, without the cashier stopping to open anything else.

Nothing about running Loyverse changes. Items, pricing, receipts, and shift closing all stay exactly as they are; Waya only reads the sales Loyverse has already marked paid and turns them into stamps, points, or cashback on the loyalty side.

How Waya reads what Loyverse already recorded

Here's what happens once the access token is saved:

  • Sales get pulled in only from the moment the connection is switched on — Waya never reaches back into Loyverse's sales history.
  • Matching happens on one field alone: the phone number tied to a customer's Waya wallet card. Email addresses play no part in it.
  • Cross the minimum sale amount — 15 SAR out of the box, though a merchant can move it anywhere from 1 to 10,000 SAR — and a stamp lands on a stamp card automatically.
  • Points cards work off a rate: take what the sale totaled, multiply by however many points a shop awards per SAR (1 is the starting point, tunable anywhere from 0.1 up to 100), then drop any fraction.
  • Cashback isn't automatic — a merchant has to switch it on and pick a percentage before a balance card starts adding store credit from Loyverse sales.
  • Waya checks Loyverse in the background on its own schedule; a sale that was just paid typically becomes a stamp within minutes.

Get Loyverse and Waya talking to each other

Loyverse hands you an access token from its Back Office, and that token is the only thing Waya's connector form asks for. Screenshots for each screen live in the Loyverse connection guide; the steps below are the short version.

  1. Open the Loyverse Back Office

Log in to Loyverse and switch to the Back Office view, where account-level settings live.

  2. Add an access token

Go to Access Tokens, click to add a new one, and name it something you'll recognize, like Waya.

  3. Copy the token

Copy the full token string — you'll paste it into Waya on the next screen.

  4. Switch to Waya's Apps screen

Head to your Waya dashboard, open Settings, then Apps — the same screen every Premium connector lives on — and pick Loyverse from the list shown there.

  5. Drop in the token and finish setup

Paste the token into the single field provided, assign the connection to a branch, confirm the minimum sale amount that should earn a reward, and hit save.

Where Loyverse fits in what Waya costs

There's a single price tag on this, and it's the same one that covers everything else in Waya Premium: 1,520 SAR billed yearly, or 149 SAR if you'd rather pay month to month. Once that subscription is live, Loyverse joins unlimited customer records, unlimited cards and branches, every staff login you need, and the rest of Waya's connector lineup — none of it billed separately.

Two lighter tiers exist below Premium. Free never expires and costs nothing, capped at 100 customers and a single stamp card; Growth sits at 85 SAR monthly, or 867 SAR paid annually. Neither hides the Apps tab — both show it locked, so the upgrade path stays visible. However many Loyverse sales flow through the connector each month, the bill from Waya doesn't move; see the full pricing breakdown for a side-by-side of all three tiers.

Waya on top of Loyverse vs. the rest of the Saudi loyalty field

Figures below reflect what each vendor publishes on its own pricing and integrations pages, current as of September 2026; check the vendor directly before deciding, since these numbers move.

'Not listed' means the vendor is silent on that point in its own materials. Loyverse itself is included in the table below because it ships loyalty features baked into its free POS — the fairest comparison for a Loyverse shop isn't against Waya's competitors, it's against Loyverse's own loyalty tools.

The honest limits of the Loyverse connector

Reading paid sales is the whole job — here's what falls outside that.

Waya's wallet cards vs. Loyverse's own loyalty program

Loyverse ships a loyalty module of its own, and it's free with the POS — but per Loyverse's own feature pages it has no native Apple Wallet or Google Wallet card; getting one onto a phone's lock screen needs a third-party add-on called Passquare rather than anything built in.

Waya's card is native Apple Wallet and Google Wallet from the start, with lock-screen notifications for welcomes, stamps, rewards, and win-back nudges — so running Waya alongside Loyverse means the receipts still come from the till you already use, while the reward itself lives somewhere the customer already looks, their phone's wallet app, rather than a separate loyalty screen. Frequently asked questions

Does the Loyverse connector cost anything beyond Waya Premium?

It doesn't. One Premium subscription — 1,520 SAR a year or 149 SAR month to month — covers Loyverse plus every other connector, along with unlimited customers and cards.

I'm on Waya Free right now — can I still link Loyverse?

Not without upgrading first. The Apps tab stays locked on both Free and Growth until Premium is active.

How does a Loyverse sale get matched to the right Waya customer?

Through the phone number on the customer's Waya wallet card, matched against the number tied to the Loyverse sale. There's no email matching as a fallback.

Will connecting Loyverse import my old sales history?

It won't. History stays where it is — the connector only starts counting sales from the moment it goes live.

Isn't Loyverse's own loyalty feature enough, since it's free?

It covers the basics, but per Loyverse's own materials it has no native Apple or Google Wallet card without a third-party add-on. Waya adds a native wallet card and lock-screen notifications on top of the receipts Loyverse already produces.
