What a Zoho Books connection means for the person at the till
Shops running Zoho Books already have every sale sitting as an invoice inside the system; what's usually missing is anything that turns a paid invoice into a reason for the customer to come back. Wire Zoho Books into Waya and that link appears on its own — a paid invoice becomes a stamp, a set of points, or store credit on the customer's wallet card, with nobody at the counter doing anything extra.
The connector touches exactly one thing: paid invoices. Everything else about how you build, send, and manage invoices inside Zoho Books carries on exactly as before.
The mechanics of the Waya–Zoho Books link
Once the four credentials are saved, this is what runs automatically:
- The connector has no memory of anything before it was switched on — only invoices Zoho Books marks paid afterward ever get read.
- Phone number is the only identifier Waya trusts for matching a Zoho Books invoice to a Waya customer; there's no fallback to an email address.
- Every qualifying invoice needs to clear a floor amount first — 15 SAR by default, movable anywhere between 1 and 10,000 SAR — before a stamp gets awarded.
- For points cards, take the invoice total, multiply by the points-per-SAR figure a shop has configured (starting point 1, tunable from 0.1 to 100), and drop the decimal — that's the reward.
- A balance or cashback card can add store credit too, calculated as a percentage a merchant sets themselves; until that percentage is switched on, nothing changes for anyone.
- Waya checks Zoho Books in the background on its own schedule, so an invoice that's just been paid typically turns into a stamp within minutes.
Connect Zoho Books to Waya, credential by credential
Zoho Books needs more from you than most connectors — a Client ID, a Client Secret, a one-time Code, and your Organization ID — because Zoho's API is built around its own developer console rather than a single key. The full walkthrough, including where the Code expires, is in the Zoho Books connection guide; the outline is below.
- Open the Zoho API console
Go to api-console.zoho.com and sign in with the same account tied to your Zoho Books organization.
- Create a Self Client
Inside the console, create a new Self Client — this is the credential type Zoho issues for server-to-server connections like Waya's.
- Generate a Code with invoice-read access
Generate a Code scoped to ZohoBooks.invoices.READ, then copy the Client ID, Client Secret, and Code straight away — the Code only stays valid for a few minutes.
- Find your Organization ID
In your Zoho Books settings, locate the Organization ID and copy it alongside the other three values.
- Find Zoho Books under Waya's connectors
In Waya, the Apps screen sits under Settings. Open it and pick Zoho Books out of the providers shown there.
- Fill in all four fields before time runs out
Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Code while the Code is still fresh, add the Organization ID, choose a branch and minimum invoice amount, then save.
What connecting Zoho Books actually costs
Zoho Books rides along with everything else Premium unlocks — 149 SAR paid monthly, or 1,520 SAR if you pay for the year up front. That one subscription is what activates unlimited customer records, cards, branches, and staff seats, plus every connector Waya ships, Zoho Books being just one of them.
Below Premium sit two lighter options: Free, which never expires and never charges anything, capped at 100 customers on a single stamp card, and Growth, billed at 85 SAR a month or 867 SAR a year. Rather than hide the Apps tab from either tier, Waya shows it locked so a merchant can see what upgrading buys. No invoice volume changes the bill once Premium is active — it's one flat monthly number regardless of how many Zoho Books invoices the connector reads. The pricing comparison breaks all three tiers down side by side.

Every number in the table is pulled from each vendor's own site as of September 2026; treat it as a snapshot, since vendors change pricing and feature lists without much notice.
'Not listed' covers anything a vendor's own pricing or integrations page simply doesn't mention. None of the platforms below name Zoho Books as something they connect to.

The limits of the Zoho Books connector, plainly
It reads one signal — paid invoices — and nothing more. Here's what that leaves out.
Why Zoho Books needs one extra step, and what to watch for
Most of Waya's connectors ask for a single key pasted once. Zoho Books is the exception, because Zoho issues access through its own developer console rather than a plain API key — that's where the Client ID, Client Secret, and Organization ID come from, all of which stay valid indefinitely once generated.
The Code is the one piece with a clock on it: Zoho only keeps it valid for a few minutes after you generate it, so the practical move is to open the Zoho API console and the Waya connector form side by side, generate the Code last, and paste it in immediately. If it expires before you save, going back to api-console.zoho.com for a fresh Code costs nothing but a minute.
Frequently asked questions
How much does connecting Zoho Books add to my Waya bill?
Not a riyal on top — Premium's price, 1,520 SAR yearly or 149 SAR monthly, is the whole bill, and it covers every connector Waya offers.
Can I connect Zoho Books from Waya's Free or Growth plan?
Not until Premium is active — both lighter plans leave the connector screen locked.
How does Waya match a Zoho Books invoice to a Waya customer?
Purely through phone number — whatever number sits on the invoice needs to line up with the one the customer enrolled with. Email is never checked.
Does Waya pull in invoices from before I connected Zoho Books?
It doesn't reach backward at all — counting starts the moment the connection is saved, and everything before that stays out of Waya.
My Zoho Books Code expired before I could paste it — what now?
Go back to api-console.zoho.com, generate a new Code under your Self Client, and paste it into Waya right away — it's only valid for a few minutes each time.
