Odoo Integration

The best loyalty program that integrates with Odoo in Saudi Arabia — and the simplest way to connect PoS or sales orders

Paid orders from Odoo's PoS or sales module can add loyalty stamps to Apple and Google Wallet cards automatically, included in Waya Premium at 149 SAR a month.

What an Odoo connection changes on the shop floor

Odoo runs everything from inventory to invoicing for a lot of Saudi businesses, and its Point of Sale module already logs every order the moment it's paid. Without a connector, that order sits inside Odoo and the loyalty side still needs a separate scan at the counter. Link Odoo to Waya and the order itself becomes the trigger — paid in Odoo, rewarded on the customer's wallet card, no second step for staff.

The connection only reads what Odoo already has — paid orders. Everything about how you configure products, pricing, or workflows inside Odoo is untouched.

How Waya turns a paid Odoo order into a reward

Once the credentials are saved, this is what runs on its own:

  • Waya reads Odoo's Point of Sale orders first; if the PoS module isn't installed, it falls back to reading sales orders instead, so shops running either setup are covered.
  • Order history doesn't carry over — counting starts the moment the connection goes live, nothing earlier.
  • A phone-number match against the customer's Waya wallet card is the only way an order gets attributed; Odoo's email fields play no role.
  • The stamp threshold defaults to 15 SAR but can be moved anywhere from 1 to 10,000 SAR — clear it, and a stamp lands on a stamp card.
  • Points cards multiply the order total by the shop's points-per-SAR rate (1 out of the box, tunable between 0.1 and 100), then round the result down.
  • Waya checks Odoo in the background on its own schedule; an order that just cleared typically turns into a stamp within minutes.

Connect your Odoo system to Waya over XML-RPC

Odoo authenticates through an API key tied to a specific user, generated from that user's own security settings — Waya talks to Odoo over XML-RPC using that key, your system URL, your database name, and the username it belongs to. The Odoo connection guide has the full walkthrough; here's the outline.

  1. Find your Odoo system URL and database name

Note your Odoo instance address (for example https://yourcompany.odoo.com) and the exact database name your account uses.

  2. Open Account Security in Odoo

Go to Preferences → Account Security for the user whose API key you're generating — a read-only user is safer here than an admin account.

  3. Create a new API key

Click New API Key, confirm it, and copy the value immediately — Odoo only shows it once.

  4. Locate Odoo on Waya's connector list

From your Waya dashboard, open Settings → Apps and pick Odoo out of the providers listed there.

  5. Enter the system URL, database, username, and key

Fill in all four fields exactly as they appear in Odoo — a mismatched database name is the most common reason a first attempt fails.

  6. Pick a branch and minimum, then save

Choose which single branch this connection covers, set the paid-order amount that should trigger a reward, and save to finish.

What Odoo support costs, and why Waya isn't the cheapest option here

Odoo support lives inside Waya Premium alone — 149 SAR a month, 1,520 SAR a year — and neither of the lighter tiers gets there: Free is capped at 100 customers with nothing to pay, and Growth costs 85 SAR a month but still shows Apps locked. Worth saying plainly: Niqati also lists Odoo among its integrations, and Niqati's plan that includes it starts at 49.99 SAR a month — cheaper on paper than Waya Premium.

What the extra cost buys is the rest of Premium, not just the Odoo connector: unlimited customers, cards, branches, staff logins, and messages, plus every other connector Waya offers alongside Odoo. If price alone is the deciding factor and you don't need those extras, Niqati's Odoo plan is worth comparing directly — see how Waya's tiers compare on the pricing page.

Figures below are each vendor's own published pricing and integrations pages as of September 2026 — a snapshot rather than a guarantee, since vendors update these without notice.

'Not listed' means the vendor's own site doesn't mention that column. Niqati is the one platform below that names Odoo directly; the rest either list Foodics only or don't publish an integrations list at all.

What the Odoo connector doesn't cover

It reads paid PoS or sales orders and stops there. Here are the edges of that.

PoS orders, sales orders, and expiring keys

Odoo is the one connector where Waya has to choose between two different order types: if the Point of Sale module is active, Waya reads PoS orders; if it isn't installed at all, Waya falls back to reading sales orders instead, so a service business running Odoo without a till isn't left out.

The other thing specific to Odoo is that its API keys can expire — Odoo's default is 90 days. When yours does, reconnecting is just generating a fresh key in Account Security and pasting it into the same field; nothing else about the connection needs to be redone. One more Odoo-side gate to know about: if you're on Odoo Online rather than a self-hosted or Odoo.sh instance, Odoo requires its own Custom plan before it will issue API keys at all — that's separate from your Waya plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is Waya the cheapest way to add loyalty on top of Odoo?

No — Niqati also lists Odoo, and its plan that includes it starts at 49.99 SAR a month, below Waya Premium's 149. Premium's price covers unlimited customers, cards, branches, and every other connector alongside Odoo, not just the Odoo link itself.

Does Waya read Odoo's PoS orders or sales orders?

PoS orders, if the Point of Sale module is installed. If it isn't, Waya automatically falls back to reading sales orders instead.

What happens when my Odoo API key expires?

Keys generated in Odoo can expire — Odoo's default is 90 days. When yours does, generate a new key in Odoo's Account Security settings and paste it into the same field; nothing else about the connection needs to change.

How does Waya match an Odoo order to a Waya customer?

It comes down to phone number, checked against the one attached to the customer's wallet card — email isn't part of the equation.

Can I connect Odoo on Waya's Free or Growth plan?

No — that screen stays locked on both tiers until the shop upgrades to Premium.
